As part of a 3 day event  to unite and align teams from around the world following a restructure a year earlier, Mark Denton spoke on his experiences leading a team in the Global Challenge as the main feature on day 2 which was the perfect thought provoking preparation for the action planning session to come on day 3.

When Sanofi Aventis wanted to re-energise their Lantus product team in the face of increasing competition there was only one choice for the keynote speaker slot - MAXVMG's Mark Denton! 160 people were enthralled and inspired by the parallels and relevance of the highly competitive environment of the Global Challenge that lead into a highly charged action setting session to prepare for the battle ahead!

Through our strategic partners High Performance Development Ltd,  we will again be providing interactive multi media Global Challenge masterclasses throughout January and February 2010 for the BT Graduate Development Programme. This is the third year that we have been selected and will again be working to secure the same level of outstanding feedback that has become our benchmark on this programme.

MAXVMG has again been selected to be a key provider for coaching services as part of phase two of the Supply Chain Capability Accelerator Programme which will launch during the week of w/c 22 Mar 2010. This is as a result of the significant success and progress made which included our involvement in phase one.

KAUST, the stunning new King Abdullah University of Science and Technology near Jeddah, Saudi Arabia was the setting for two interactive and inspirational seminars delivered to the community by MAXVMG to align and unite all facets of the facility in their bid to become a centre of excellence in their chosen field. Dataforce invited Mark Denton to speak at their 'Excellence in Leadership during tough times' seminar through strategic partners Adapt Training and Development. Adapt's Aly Kind stated "We’ve had absolutely rave reviews from yesterday, with fantastic feedback. Your presentation was just as great as ever"

Dimension Data utilise the proven and highly acclaimed 'Leadership and Teamwork in the eye of the storm' multi media module to add insight and inspiration to their Leadership Development programme. "The speech went down exceptionally well with some really great feedback" stated Dimension Data's Sarah Moyles.

The half way check point on the coaching programme for Anglo American Mining yields positive results from all coachees with the second phase activated in support of the Global Supply Chain Capability Acceleration Programme

Minster Housing, part of the Hyde Housing Group receive facilitation assistance with their annual conference.

Scott Dunn Ski received the first of two tailored workshops on how to maximise performance and motivation in a challenging market by MAXVMG's Mark Denton scheduled before the start of the ski season 09/10.

Through strategic partners High Performance Development, MAXVMG's Mark Denton is selected as a member of the three person delivery team for Regus's innovative new six stage multi group Leadership Development Programme running through to June 2010.

BMW has chosen MAXVMG to create and deliver a two day programme on Leadership and High Performing Teams for it's Learning Academy at Wokefield Park near Reading. This will form part of an innovative set of learning and development offerings aimed at educating and equipping it's dealership network. The two day programme is formed of a hybrid one day interactive Global Challenge Masterclass combined with a highly pragmatic action learning based second day where Dealer principles share their insight on the challenges they face and work together to create innovative solutions for implementation. The programme will be piloted early in 2010 with six iterations per year planned through to 2013. 

Castrol Professional is the trade arm of Castrol that supplies oil and support services to car dealership groups nationally. As part of this they also hold events to bring the industry together to share insight from leading figures in Industry, the Media and Sport, this time at the Landmark Hotel in London.  Sarah Sillers, Executive Director of the Institute of Motor Industry, Anthony Hilton, Business commentator for the Evening Standard, and Mark Denton, BP's Global Challenge Skipper, all gave highly insightful keynote addresses followed by a guest appearance by Football's Alan Shearer who is an ambassador for Castrol's world cup sponsorship in 2010.

Complimentary to the Medusa Leadership development programme delivered by Cheshire based people development Consultancy SFL for Shop Direct Group, are a series of Masterclasses that reinforce the learning from the core programme. The Performance Masterclass is delivered by MAXVMG's Mark Denton at SDG's offices in Speke, Liverpool.

With the whole of the Hotel and Events industry challenged by the current trading conditions there is much focus on improving teamwork and motivation within the key area of Sales. Jumeirah decided to bring in some external perspective to help with this by incorporating the keynote speech "Leadership and teamwork in the eye of the storm' into one of their working lunch sessions. 

MaxVMG are pleased to announce a strategic partnership with leading sailing events company Britannia Sailing. The partnership will see MaxVMG become the preferred supplier to Britannia for all team building and leadership development programmes utilising Britannia's premier fleet of Beneteau 40.7 racing yachts. This will encompass not only focussed high performance sailing days hosted by MaxVMG's world class ex-Global Challenge Skippers, but also complimentary development workshops utilising industry leading tools and facilitation techniques to improve individal and team performance

 

We were honoured to be invited to Venue Event Managements 20th Anniversary celebration at the Norton Park Hotel, especially as we had the keynote speaker slot at this prestigious event. The slot was at 10.30 s we kept it to a 45 minute trip around the world that received the following feedback from the 120 strong audience.

The 3rd (16/09) and 4th (23/09) iterations of this much applauded intervention in High Performance Developments emerging leaders programme for Credit Suisse.

This three day event saw One Anglo Supply Chain leaders fly in from all four corners of the planet to attend the kick off of the 'Capability Accelerator'. This ground breaking programme based on an Action Learning approach is designed to transform the capability of participants so that they can increase the speed of execution of their significant delivery challenges through increased and enhanced engagement with their Line Managers, Peers, Teams and stakeholders.

For the second year running Mark Denton has been invited to skipper one of a fleet of 10 Sunsail 37's for Skandia racing at Cowes Week. With just a  first mate for help, and a new crew every day (who have only just met each other for the first time) it's a tall order to get them all up to speed in one hour before the gun goes off and it's racing for real!

Yet again out onto the water for a close fought contest with another group from Ashfield In2focus with Will Carnegie and Mark Denton facilitating each team to find out who is the "Master of the Solent".

For the third year running the Wolseley graduates on nearing the end of their induction year come back together for a final development programme before being set loose on the business! As part of this they experience the insight of what it takes to create high performance in Team's from Maxvmg's Mark Denton using the much applauded Leadership and Teamwork in the eye of the storm multi media training module.

MaxVMG has been integral to the process of advising the existing organisers Hess Oil on how to manage this historical sailing regatta going forwards to ensure it's ongoing success as well as to up the standard of delivery and competitiveness for all participants.

"Medusa" is a thought provoking senior leader development programme for Shop Direct Group, delivered by Cheshire based Leadership Development consultancy SFL.

As part of Mission Performances role as training and development providers to Asda they were asked to put together a 1 day Leadership Masterclass for their Leeds based managers.

MaxVMG's Martin Fricker is to coach three of the senior leadership team within the Amey Qinetiq account as part of the demobilisation from the contract and to ensure a smooth transition into new roles within the wider Amey business.

Following the decision to withdraw from the Qinetiq Contract, the Amey Qinetiq senior leadership team met to ensure alignment on demobilisation of the account which was facilitated to a focussed conclusion by MaxVMG's Mark Denton.

As part of a high impact Leader development programme run by High Performance Development Limited (HPD), Mark Denton ran the first of a series of 1/2 day Global Challenge Leadership Masterclasses that are based on the award winning Leadership and Teamwork in the eye of the storm multi media training module.

This 2 day programme was the final part of a 6 month development course for Ashfield in2focus's  emerging leaders run by Business Edge Solutions and Training (BEST). Day one saw two intrepid teams assemble at Sunsail's Uk base at Port Solent Portsmouth where they met their facilitators Will Carnegie and MaxVMG's Mark Denton. Day one was out on the water putting all they have learnt over the course into practice for real in a head to head team sailing competition to see who would be crowned "Masters of the Solent". Day two was a thorough debrief and action planning session of how they could put what they had learnt on the water into practice. Here's the feedback: "A great example of how leadership thoery can be applied in a practical situation" A totally enjoyable course - we had such a lot of fun on it as well as learning" "Really good task to get out the key points of leadership" Delivery rating: 10/10, content rating 9.25/10. Say no more!

The Hilton Metropole, Birmingham and the Renaissance Heathrow were the settings for the kick off events for HSBC's new Rate Matcher mortgage offering due to be launched in early June. MaxVMG's Mark Denton spoke at both events of his experience's leading a team in the BT Global Challenge Round the world yacht race with many strong parallels to the environment HSBC finds itself in within the finance industry at this current time.

Wednesday 13th May saw 35 persons from across the Amey Qinetiq account assemble at Norton Park Winchester to contribute to a Cultural Assessment Workshop run by MAXVMG's Mark Denton and Alan Russell as a pre-cursor to a planned cultural transformation programme scheduled for June 2009 onwards.
